Raptors Move Final Game to Hamilton

January 7, 1998 GMT

TORONTO (AP) _ The Toronto Raptors will play their final regular-season game against Philadelphia at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton because of a SkyDome scheduling conflict with baseball’s Blue Jays.

The Raptors were forced to move the April 19 game after the Blue Jays scheduled an afternoon game for that day against the Chicago White Sox. The Blue Jays have the right of first refusal on all dates at SkyDome.

The Raptors were unsuccessful in attempts to move the game to Maple Leaf Gardens, home of the NHL’s Maple Leafs.
