Cavaliers Make Pit Stop in Vegas After Beating Warriors
It turns out the Cleveland Cavaliers charter flight from Oakland had a layover Sunday night following their NBA Finals win over the Warriors.
In Las Vegas.
As documented on Twitter by ESPN’s Arash Markazi, the Cavaliers descended on the club XS in Las Vegas to celebrate the first title in franchise history and the first championship in Cleveland in 52 years.
The Cavs were greeted with a cake shaped as an NBA championship trophy as well as well as champagne _ 25 bottles of Moet & Chandon and 10 bottles of Don Julio and Belvedere.
Photographic evidence suggests that at least two Cavaliers _ J.R. Smith and Ian Shumpert, lost their shirts in Las Vegas amidst the drinks and music. Other photos of the raucous celebration include Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, Richard Jefferson and Matthew Dellavedova.
Cavaliers billionaire owner Dan Gilbert was there, ostensibly to pick up the tab.
Noticeably absent in the photos was NBA Finals MVP LeBron James.
