Former Scribner-Snyder teacher accused of sending lewd photos to underage boys
A former teacher in the Scribner-Snyder Community Schools is accused by police of sending inappropriate Snapchat messages to underage boys.
Police said 30-year-old Bradley Hegemann asked for and sent lewd images to five juveniles between November 2017 and early this month.
They also say he bought alcohol for them multiple times.
District Superintendent Ginger Meyer sent out a voicemail saying Hegemann taught at the school from August 2014 to May 2016.
Hegemann resigned his position at Cedar Catholic School in Hartington on Thursday. Principal Christopher Uttecht said this was Hegemann’s third year teaching English and coaching girls volleyball and basketball at the Northeast Nebraska school.
Uttecht said that the school is cooperating with the investigation and that to his knowledge, Hegemann did not have inappropriate contact with any students there.
Hegemann is charged with five counts of felony child abuse and five misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a child.
Meyer said that she is not sure if the boys involved were students at Scribner-Snyder.
