Seymour Library July book talks include ‘Promised Land,’ ‘Nightingale’

Seymour Library will host the following book discussions in July:

• Noon Tuesday, July 12: The Coffee and Crime Book Club will discuss the Flavia de Luce mystery series by Alan Bradley

• 11 a.m. Saturday, July 16: The History Book Club will discuss “Bound for the Promised Land: Harriet Tubman, Portrait of an American” by Kate Clifford Larson

• 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 27: The Read More Book Club will discuss a road trip book at Prison City Pub & Brewery, 28 State St., Auburn

• 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 28: The Coffee and Conversation Book Club will discuss “The Nightingale” by Kristin Hannah

• 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30: The Birthday Book Club will celebrate Ernest Hemingway’s birthday (July 21) by reading and discussing “The Paris Wife” by Paula McLain

Unless noted otherwise, all talks take place at the library, 176-178 Genesee St., Auburn.

Admission is free, but participants should have read the book prior to the meeting.
