January 3, 2019

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in locating a suspect in a robbery case in the Sugar Land area.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the robbery occurred about 11:15 a.m. Dec. 31, 2018, at the Kroger store in the 18800 block of University Boulevard.

“We have a good look at this guy,” said Sheriff Troy Nehls. “Someone out there knows this guy and they can make some quick cash the honest way. Dial the Crime Stoppers number, and remember, it’s an anonymous call.”

The Sheriff’s Office reports that an unknown black male entered the Kroger and approached an employee working a cash register. The suspect “produced a note stating he had a gun and would shoot if he didn’t receive money. The cashier complied with the demands made by the suspect and handed the cash to the suspect, who then left the business.”

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5-feet 9-inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a gray hoodie sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, red/gray colored tennis shoes and a baseball cap. Surveillance video revealed that he was driving a white Kia Soul vehicle.

Anyone who has information on this crime or any other crimes is asked to call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers, Inc.

Call (281) 342-TIPS (8477).
