Barbara A. “Barb” Denault, 64, of Bourbonnais, passed away Sunday (Oct. 14, 2018) at her sister’s home with family surrounding her.
She was born July 11, 1954, in Kankakee, the daughter of Albert C. and Mary E. (Betty) Denault.
Barb’s work history included more than 22 years at First Trust Bank, five years at Gage, 15 years at the Kankakee School District and eight years at JRs Chicken.
She was a lifelong member of the Kankakee VFW Auxiliary. Barb also was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Barb enjoyed trivia nights and playing Bingo. She was a Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan.
Surviving are four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Nancy Ostrowski, of Bourbonnais, Mary Beth (Kissy) and Scott Mathis, of Bourbonnais, Michele and Tom Castner, of Sleepy Hollow, and Becky and Tom Payne, of Bourbonnais; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Bruce and Lisa Denault, of Stafford, Va., Marc and Janet Denault, of Manteno, Jeff Denault, of Bradley, and Albert and Penny Denault, of Bradenton, Fla.; along with several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother-in-law, Joe Ostrowski; and one nephew-in-law, Zeb Pfeiffer.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home in Kankakee. The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kankakee, with the Rev. John Peeters officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, in Kankakee Memorial Gardens in Aroma Township.
