Annual Legion Birthday Banquet will be held

Watertown American Legion Post 189 will hold its annual Birthday Banquet Saturday at Turner Hall to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the American Legion.

Social hour begins at 5 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m., serving pork chops and Swiss steak. Tickets are $22 and are available at Bradow Jewelers and the Legion Post at 206 S. First St. Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. People can also contact Cmdr. Ron Krueger at 920-285-0354 and get tickets at the door that evening.

Guest speaker will be Julie Muhle who is a U.S. Army veteran, the chancellor of the American Legion College, Department of Wisconsin membership chairwoman and currently serving the American Legion 2nd District as first vice commander.

A special video presentation will be presented detailing the first 100 years of the Legion’s existence.

There will be door prizes and the drawing for the annual $100 raffle.

The public is welcome.
