October 30, 2018

Election Day 2018 is less than a week away. Chances are, you’ve already made up your mind about who to vote for in the governor’s race, both U.S. Senate races or for Congress.

But there are plenty of other races on the Nov. 6 ballot, and they are races that probably will have a bigger impact on your day-to-day life in Winona than the state-wide elections.

If you aren’t up to speed on the local candidates, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered. Consider this your introduction to local candidates running for school board, county board and city council.

Editor’s notes: Two city council members are running unopposed and voters will pick two at-large school board candidates out of a field of four. The candidates were given the option of recording a 1-minute video when they came to the Daily News for their endorsement interview. Some declined to do the video.
