Rodeo highlights Friday events at the Lawrence County Fair

PROCTORVILLE, Ohio — The Lawrence County World Championship Rodeo took place Friday evening at the 2018 Lawrence County Fair at the fairgrounds in Proctorville, Ohio. The event, hosted by Broken Horn Rodeo, featured bareback bronc riding, bull riding, cowgirl’s barrel racing, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping and tie down roping.

Friday’s events also included a 4-H silent auction, carnival, singing and a barn dance.

Saturday, July 14, is the final day of the fair. A 4-H and Future Farmers of America large market animal sale is scheduled for 10 a.m., featuring hogs, steers, lambs and goats. The small market animal sale is schedule for 2 p.m., featuring chickens and rabbits, along with a tobacco sale.


Saturday’s events also include singing, a power wheel derby, a lawn mower derby and a derby blowout.
