Coxton Road Reopens After Repairs

October 25, 2018 GMT

DURYEA — Coxton Road was scheduled to reopen Wednesday afternoon after two weeks of flood damage, according to the state Department of Transportation. PennDOT crews paved more than 500 tons of asphalt onto the road, removed 20 loads of rocks and sediment and repaired undermining caused by flooding from recent heavy rains, department spokesman James May said. PennDOT closed the road last week when repairs began. — BORYS KRAWCZENIUK
