4 hurt in Sauk County crash that closed Highway 14 for 3 hours
A two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Sauk County closed a busy highway for about three hours, with four people taken to UW Hospital for injuries, including one flown by helicopter.
The crash happened at about 4:50 p.m. on Highway 14 east of County Line Road, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The investigation showed a car going west struck a minivan going east, with the car blocking the west lane and the minivan ending up in the ditch.
Two passengers in the minivan and the driver of the car needed to be extricated from their vehicles.
The car driver, who was the only person in the car, and the two passengers in the minivan were taken by ambulance to UW Hospital, while the minivan driver was flown by Med Flight to UW Hospital, all with unspecified injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Spring Green and Lone Rock Fire Departments and EMS.
