Snap reports 2Q loss
VENICE, Calif. (AP) _ Snap Inc. (SNAP) on Thursday reported a loss of $443.1 million in its second quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Venice, California-based company said it had a loss of 36 cents. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 16 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 14 cents per share.
The company behind Snapchat posted revenue of $181.7 million in the period, also falling short of Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $186.9 million.
