Hats Off to Hartnett, Johnson at TMHS

TEWKSBURY -- Tewksbury Memorial High School and the Tewksbury Rotary Club recently recognized the May Hats Off Award at TMHS.

Julia Hartnett, daughter of David and Lori Hartnett, graduated among the top 5 percent of the Class of 20178, was a high-honors student and qualified for a John and Abigail Adams Scholarship. She was inducted into the National Honor Society and received the Biliteracy Silver Award. She is a competitive dancer and assists at fundraisers at her dance school. She also tutors a younger student.

Julia plans to attend Simmons College to major in Psychology and minor in Spanish. She was nominated by Donna Boudreau-Hill, who said she has grown more confident in herself and her academic ability.

Shaun Johnson, son of Scott Johnson and Linsey Long, has been the sound designer for Tewksbury High’s theater productions and was nominated for a Technical Excellence Award in the production of “Jekyll and Hyde.” He has also helped run the sound board at various events held, including National Honor Society induction ceremonies, dance competitions and fashion shows.

Shaun will attend Salem State University to major in Computer Science. He was nominated by Christine Fronduto, who said he is always ready and willing to take on any task with a cheerful and positive attitude.
