Vehicles collide; one hits home
A Listie firefighter was involved in an accident Thursday afternoon that resulted in two injuries and a vehicle hitting a house. According to Somerset Borough police Officer Eric Grus, Listie Volunteer Fire Co. firefighter Derek Johnson thought he had an emergency call and attempted to cross West Main Street in Somerset with his blue emergency lights activated. Another vehicle and his collided, pushing his vehicle into a house at 434 W. Main St. A trash can took the brunt of the damage. Johnson received a head injury. A minor from the other vehicle was transported to Somerset Hospital as a precaution. Two other people were involved in the accident but were not injured. Somerset Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
