FLORENCE, S.C. – The May meeting of the Florence County Republican Party will feature Holly Gatling, executive director of South Carolina Citizens for Life.

Gatling said she will provide an overview of how the organization operates locally and nationally as an affiliate of the National Right to Life Committee.

Gatling will be the second consecutive speaker on the rights of the unborn. Dr. Matthew Clark, executive director of Personhood South Carolina, was the speaker at the April meeting of the Republican Party.

South Carolina Citizens for Life Inc. is a nonprofit, single-issue, right-to-life organization devoted to restoring legal protection to the unborn and to protecting innocent human life by eliminating abortion, infanticide and euthanasia from society.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the Floyd Conference Center of MUSC Health Florence Medical Center located at 1592 Freedom Blvd. Light refreshments will be available at 6:30 p.m.

The meetings are free and open to the public.
