Residents escape injury from burning home

Residents escaped injury this morning after a home caught fire, the Fort Wayne Fire Department said.

Firefighters were called to 2116 Florida Drive at 8:42 a.m. and found smoke coming from the two-story home, the department said in a statement.

The fire, located in the attic, took firefighters a little more than 15 minutes to get under control, the statement said. It said the home had moderate fire and water damage and minor smoke damage.




No one was injured.




The fire is under investigation.
