The following preliminary hearing is scheduled before District Judge Douglas McCall Bell in Meyersdale:
Driving under the influence
Robert Edward Currence, 71, Musselman Avenue, Somerset, was charged Feb. 20 with driving under influence, illegally operating a motor vehicle not equipped with an ignition interlock and restrictions on alcoholic beverages.
State police were dispatched Jan. 27 to Berlin Plank Road in Brothersvalley Township for a report of an erratic driver. Once stopped, Currence said that he was drinking pretty early and that he has an ignition interlock device. The vehicle he was driving was not equipped with one. His blood alcohol level was 0.22 percent, according to police.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. April 12.
