Police: Missing W.Va. teacher’s body found along road
BECKLEY, W.Va. (AP) — Police in West Virginia say the body of a missing teacher has been found five days after he did not show up for work.
The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office says in a Facebook post the body of 50-year-old Mark Andrew Lilly of Fayetteville was found Saturday along a county road.
The post says Lilly was an avid bicyclist. His vehicle was discovered at the Raleigh County Airport where he had parked before leaving on his bicycle. Foul play isn’t suspected and that the cause of death remains under investigation.
Lilly was reported missing to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office when he did not show up for work Monday at Oak Hill High School.
