Woman arrested in North Augusta armed robbery
A woman has been arrested for a bank robbery that occurred on March 1 in North Augusta.
Jhane Dajour Williams, 22, of Columbia, was arrested Tuesday in Columbia by the S.C. State Law Enforcement Division.
The bank robbery occurred March 1 at around 3:45 p.m. at the Regions Bank on West Avenue in North Augusta.
A report provided by North Augusta Department of Public Safety states the suspect handed an employee a note demanding money and stating they were armed. The employee gave the suspect an unknown amount of money and she fled, according to the report.
An officer took a deposit slip as evidence, and it was taken to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Department for processing. A fingerprint on the slip linked the deposit slip to Williams, according to a report from the North Augusta Department of Public Safety.
North Augusta exchanged custody of Williams, served her the warrant and transported her to the Aiken County detention center.
