Police were dispatched to an American Fork residence at about 1:40 p.m. Saturday on reports of an intoxicated man, Adam Smith, refusing to leave the home of a woman.
The woman told police that Smith, 39, who she barely knew, entered her home at about 5 a.m. because he “just wanted to talk,” reports state. The woman said when she saw how drunk he was, she asked him to leave.
But Smith refused. He eventually forced her to sit on the couch next him, grabbed her inappropriately and forcibly kissed her, reports state. Police attempted to speak with Smith once they contacted him, but he was too intoxicated to speak coherently, reports state. Even at the Utah County Jail, Smith was unable to speak well enough to give a statement.
Smith was booked into jail on suspicion of one second-degree felony of burglary, one second-degree felony of forcible sexual abuse and one class C misdemeanor of intoxication.
