Leslie Leo Louis Kehl was born in Columbus, Wisconsin, May 16, 1923. His father was Bernhard J. Kehl and his mother was Anna (Wolff) Kehl. Les taught in the Lutheran schools for 44 years. He married Mabel Kern of Adrian, Michigan, in 1947. They have four sons, a foster son, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mabel passed away Feb. 2, 2007, after 59 wonderful years together. After retirement Les and Mabel became snow birds traveling to Florida in a travel trailer. They spent many years helping build churches with Builders for Christ. Les continued to play organ at Trinity Lutheran Church, Marinette, for about 25 years until his death at 93.

The funeral will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, Marinette, Sunday, Feb. 12, at 3 p.m. with visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at Hillside Cemetery in Columbus.
