Ashley Hellbusch, 27, of Columbus, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, at her home in Columbus.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, at Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus, with the Rev. Michael Klatt officiating. Interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, 12.5 miles north of Columbus, following the service. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, at Gass Haney Funeral Home, and will continue from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church. There will be a family prayer service at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Memorials may be directed to those of the family choice.
Ashley Hellbusch was born Dec. 14, 1991, in Columbus, to Gary and Kim (Howell) Hellbusch. She attended Immanuel Lutheran Day Care, Pre-School, and Grade School. Ashley attended Columbus High School, and graduated from Rising City High School. She was currently taking classes at Central Community College in Columbus, studying Health Information Management.
Ashley fought hard to recover from her accident of June 9, 2011. She enjoyed doing crafts, decorating, playing cards, and games. She had a special love for her dog Maddie, and going fishing with her brother Shane. Ashley was a loving and caring person, whose smile would light up a room. She was a baptized and confirmed member of Peace Lutheran Church.
Ashley is survived by parents, Gary and Kim Hellbusch of Columbus; brother, Shane Hellbusch of Columbus; grandparents, Lee and Ellen Howell of Albion; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ashley was preceded in death by grandparents, Lawrence and Elsie Hellbusch.
