Child porn leads to charges, jail
A Fort Wayne man admitted to police he downloaded child pornography onto his computer in January 2017, court records said.
David A. Hannigan, 56, of the 5300 block of Dial Drive, was charged Tuesday in Allen Superior Court with child exploitation by computer download and possession of child pornography.
Police discovered Hannigan’s collection of child pornography after he dropped off his computer at a local computer repair store. An employee alerted local police and the FBI, court records said.
Hannigan told investigators he had subscribed to a social media site and paid $10 a month to download the files.
Police identified six photos that Hannigan had downloaded, most of naked young girls. One photo depicted a young girl and boy together, court records said. Hannigan was being held at the Allen County Jail in lieu of $12,500 bail.
