North Carolina man charged in 2-year-old’s death
KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. (AP) — A North Carolina man has been charged with murder after a 2-year-old died at a hospital, police said.
Police in Kings Mountain arrested Taylon Armando Peeler, 21, on Tuesday and charged him with murder in the toddler’s death, news sources reported.
According to police, a local hospital called to report a 2-year-old was brought in with life-threatening injuries. Before officers arrived, the child was taken to a hospital in Charlotte. The child, whose identity hasn’t been released by police, died the next day.
Peeler was found in Charlotte on Tuesday, with the help from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Peeler is jailed without bond, and it’s not known if he has an attorney to represent him. He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
