Sheriff: Walnut man found with $67,000 in stolen goods arrested
PRINCETON – A Walnut man found with $67,000 worth of stolen property from “multiple area burglaries” was in Bureau County Jail Sunday, charged with burglary and theft.
Paul S. Cobane IV, 37, was arrested Friday after investigators executed two search warrants, Bureau County Sheriff Jim Reed said in a news release Sunday.
He is being held on $50,000 bond and faces 3 to 7 years on each count.
Cobane was convicted in Bureau County of two counts of burglary in a November 1999 case; he was sentenced to boot camp and 4 years with the Department of Corrections.
No further information, including what type of property, where the search was conducted, or when and where the burglaries took place, was released.
