Hike at Webb Mountain to take place in June
MONROE — On Saturday, June 1, join Monroe’s Park Ranger David Solek for a trail hike at Webb Mountain with commentary on tree and plant life en route.
This is a moderate level one-mile walk on the Yellow Trail. At completion, an optional moderate climb is available to the Webb Mountain Overlook, also known as Goat Rock. No registration is required. Children welcome, as are dogs on a leash. The outing is co-sponsored by the Monroe Parks and Recreation Department, Monroe Conservation and Water Resources Commission and Monroe Land Trust and Tree Conservatory. The Monroe Health Department is planning to set up a public health display and provide free tick tweezers to the first 50 people (one per family).
Meet at the parking lot on Old Fish House Road off Webb Circle, Monroe at 10 a.m. Hike is rain or shine.
