WHATELY, Mass. (AP) — Whately police say a tractor-trailer filled with fruit has been stolen from a truck stop in town.

Chief James Sevigne Jr. says the truck was stolen sometime between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. Sunday from the lot at the F.L. Roberts truck stop off Interstate 91.

The chief tells The Recorder of Greenfield (http://bit.ly/11sHr4L ) that the driver left his cab unlocked and his keys in the ignition when he went out with a friend for a few hours.

When he got back, the truck was gone.

The red cab with an unmarked white trailer has Illinois plates.
