Marinda Bryant, who spent her freshman softball season at Nebraska, is transferring to North Florida.

The Beatrice graduate announced her decision via Twitter on Friday. On Tuesday, Nebraska coach Rhonda Revelle confirmed Bryant’s withdrawal from the school.

Bryant, an infielder, appeared in 20 games last season and made 13 starts at shortstop. She had 31 plate appearances and finished with six hits, three runs scored and two RBIs.

Bryant earned Super-State honors twice while at Beatrice. Her tweet indicated that she’ll be playing for North Florida, an NCAA Division I school in the Atlantic Sun Conference, immediately.
