William Redrow

PLANO, Texas — William L Redrow, a longtime resident of Columbus, passed away in Plano, Texas, on Jan. 4, 2018. He was 86.

Bill was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on Dec. 23, 1931.

Bill and his family moved to Columbus in 1963 to work as an insurance broker for the Beecher-Curry Company.

Bill was very active and respected in the community. In the 1970s, Bill was a member of the Columbus School Board and was past president of the board.

He was an active member of the American Legion and Elks, where he served for one year as an Exalted Ruler.

Bill was a Korean War veteran.

He will be interred at the DFW National Cemetery in Grand Prairie, Texas.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, Arlene; children, Marla May, Dr. Mark Redrow and wife Cate and Brian and wife Christie; and grandchildren, Dr. Grant Redrow, Colin Redrow and Connor and Hannah Redrow.

He will be missed by his family and friends.
