Madison police say school threat not credible, juvenile arrested
Madison police say a threat on social media to “shoot up” a school was not a credible threat.
The juvenile who posted the threat on Snapchat was arrested for two counts of unlawful use of computerized communications systems, Sgt. Steph Drescher said Sunday.
In an an email sent to Sherman Middle School families, Principal Kristin Foreman said the person who made the comment Friday on Snapchat was communicating with two Sherman students, but initially thought he was talking to a Black Hawk Middle School student.
Foreman asked families to talk with students in an effort to help identify the person.
