Alliant Energy Corp. announces executive changes

MADISON — Alliant Energy Corp. announced that Tom Hanson, senior vice president and chief financial officer, will retire Dec. 31 after more than three decades with the company.

Alliant also announced other executive changes. Robert Durian will take over as vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer and Ben Bilitz, company controller, will take on the additional role of chief accounting officer. Both appointments are effective Dec. 1.

Durian has been with the company since 1992. He is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and a master’s degree in business administration from UW-Madison.

Bilitz is a CPA and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from UW-Whitewater.

Alliant Energy provides electric and natural gas service to 950,000 electric and 410,000 natural gas customers across Iowa and Wisconsin.
