Mall evacuated over bomb threat
SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — A bomb threat has forced the evacuation of a Vermont shopping mall on one of the busiest shopping days of the holiday season.
Police say workers at a Target store at the University Mall in South Burlington reported the threat around 2 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities evacuated the mall and reopened the area around 3 p.m. after determining the store was safe.
Police say Target stores in New Hampshire and North Carolina also received bomb threats.
The source of the threats remains under investigation.
