NAPLES, Fla. -- Ronald E. Johnson, 82, of Naples and formerly of Watertown, Wisconsin, died on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at Avow Hospice in Naples.

He was born on April 15, 1936, the son of Eric and Bertha (White) Johnson.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years. He also worked at Sussex Machine Shop in Waterloo, Wisconsin, for 10 years.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; siblings Gordon, Barbara (Johnson) Kottke, Cynthia Remsch, David (Arlette) Johnson; three children, Dave (Dawn) Johnson, Laurie (Tom) Oreskovic, Lisa (Mike) Phettaplace; two stepsons, Bradley (Laura) Riesen, Brian Riesen; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 304 N. Sixth St., Watertown. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. on Saturday until the time of service.

Memorials may be directed to St. John’s Lutheran School or Church, the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin, the Diabetes Foundation or the Parkinson Association of Southwest Florida Inc.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Bradley Kottke.
