Woman dies in crash near Maine’s capital city
SIDNEY, Maine (AP) — Police say a woman was killed in a single-car crash near Maine’s capital city.
Maine State Police say 38-year-old Elizabeth Simmons died on Friday morning when her pickup truck overturned in Sidney, less than two miles from the Augusta city line. Police say the truck was speeding and Simmons wasn’t wearing a seatbelt when the truck went off the road on a slight curve.
Simmons was a resident of Sidney. Police say she was the only occupant of the truck, and she was killed instantly.
