Colgate 85, Lafayette 72

EASTON, Pa. (AP) _ Center Adonal Foyle scored 27 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and had four blocks as the Red Raiders tied for their third straight Patriot League title Saturday with an 85-72 victory over Lafayette.

With the victory, Colgate (13-14 overall, 9-3 conference) is in a tie for first place with Navy.

The Leopards (7-19, 4-8) led 37-30 at the break and were up 48-40 with 14:11 remaining. But Colgate went on a 10-0 run _ capped by a jumper by Mike Roberts _ to go up, 50-48, with 11:25 remaining. The Red Raiders then went on a 15-2 run later in the half to build a 13-point lead, their largest of the game.

Mike Roberts scored 16 for the Red Raiders, Seth Schaeffer 13 and Tim Bollin had 10.

Craig Kowadla scored a team-high 21 for the Leopards, while Ralph Carter added 14 and Stefan Ciosici, who battled Foyle on the block for much of the game, recorded his seventh double-double of the season with 16 points and 15 rebounds.

The top seed in the upcoming Patriot League Tournament at Holy Cross will be determined by a coin flip Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
