Semi flips in crash; trucker dies
A semi driver died in a two-vehicle crash around 7:30 p.m. Thursday at U.S. 30 and West County Line Road.
The truck driver was going east on U.S. 30 and collided with a GMC Terrain going north on West County Line Road. The Terrain had a green light, according to Steve Stone, public information officer for the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
A mother and her two children in the Terrain had minor injuries and were taken to a hospital. The semi driver was pronounced dead at the scene, Stone said. His truck had flipped on its side, he added. The cause of death is under investigation.
