Daniel Drolshagen, 67, Columbus
Daniel O. “Drolly” Drolshagen, 67, Columbus, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at Meriter Hospital, Madison.
He was born Oct. 28, 1950, in Columbus, to Orville and Marie (Ballweg) Drolshagen. Drolly graduated from Columbus High School in 1969. He was married to Dodi Howland on July 25, 1970, in Beaver Dam. He was employed at Enerpac (formerly Columbus Products) in Columbus for more than 45 years, retiring in 2017. Drolly enjoyed hunting and just about all sports, especially the Packers and Badgers. He coached and umpired for softball, baseball and Little League games for many years. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre.
Survivors include his wife, Dodi of Columbus; a daughter, Tina (fiance Leroy) of Columbus; a son, Bryan (Heather) of Columbus; grandson, Peyton; his mother, Marie Drolshagen of Columbus; a sister, Pat (Russ) Hoff, and brother, Michael, both of Columbus; other relatives; his fur babies, Koko and Bailee; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orville in 2016; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Delores Howland.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, at Jensen Funeral Home, Columbus. A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. A special thank you to Dr. Rolf Poser and Poser Clinic staff, Columbus Community and Meriter Hospitals.
