Hundreds walk for epilepsy at Cove Island
About 200 walkers and 50 cyclists participated in the Walk to End Epilepsy at Cove Island Park in Stamford on Sunday.
The walk supported epilepsy awareness and raised money for the Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut.
Motivational speaker Beth Usher spoke about living with epilepsy since having the left hemisphere of her brain removed for treatment. Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut Teen Ambassador Emma Borys and Neurologist Louise Resor, MD, also spoke at the event.
The Stamford walk was the last in the series of walks in Connecticut as the group closes in on its target goal of $100,000.
