Shell Oil: 4Q Earnings Snapshot
THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) _ Royal Dutch Shell PLC (RDS.A) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter profit of $965 million.
The The Hague, Netherlands-based company said it had profit of 24 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 74 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 80 cents per share.
The oil and gas company posted revenue of $85.07 billion in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $15.84 billion, or $3.90 per share. Revenue was reported as $352.11 billion.
Shell Oil shares have declined 5.5% since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined slightly more than 5% in the last 12 months.
