Senior University to give physics lessons starting Jan. 24

The Winona State University Retiree Center’s Senior University program will host “Great Ideas in Physics” from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 24 through Feb. 14, in Pasteur Hall, room 133, on the university’s main campus.

The course will help participants develop a greater understanding of the laws of physics, explore the historical context of the great ideas and will include many demonstrations to illustrate the principles being discussed. The course will span the history of physics from the beginning to the present elementary particle theory. Cost is $40, and registration is online at http://www.winona.edu/retiree/senioruni.asp.
