Christmas lovers travel to Santa house in North Pole, Alaska
NORTH POLE, Alaska (AP) — Travelers have visited the Alaska city of North Pole to show their Christmas spirit at the Santa Claus House and some used the visit to renew their wedding vows, a report said.
Princess Cruises has had an annual “Santa Cruise” trip to North Pole for the past three years, The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reported Thursday.
A bus operated by the cruise line arrived at the house in the community near Fairbanks Wednesday.
Guests were greeted by Paul Brown, operations manager at the Santa Claus House.
“It’s always exciting to see so many of Santa’s helpers come visit him here at his house in North Pole, Alaska,” Brown said.
Couples clad in red, white and green renewed wedding vows in the house with help from an ordained minister from Florida dressed as Santa. He got married during the event.
