NEW YORK, Jan. 6, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, former NFL football player Walter Powell, and co-founders Nim Desai, Israel Lopez and Jackson White launched a 2.0 version of the political transparency app Politiscope, following the success of the original launch in January 2019.
Politiscope 2.0 extends political power to every user by integrating functionality designed to keep them informed about politics while also providing them with necessary tools to take action. The new version includes election, polling, and fundraising tracking features and gives users the opportunity to impact elections nationwide through campaign contributions and social sharing. In addition, the upgrade enhanced the existing newsfeed, legislative summaries, and politician profiles.
The launch of Politiscope 2.0 is indicative of the company’s growth and the co-founders grasp on what citizens need to stay informed and take action.
“Politiscope turns anyone with a mobile phone into their own political operative, evening the playing field against big money and special interests and further democratizing our democracy. It’s a political power for everyone,” said Powell. “Football is my passion, but informing people on what really matters is my purpose.”
About Politiscope -- Politiscope is a player profile app for politicians that breaks down and explains every bill a politician votes for or against into laymen terms making it that one stop shop for all politics. The app showcases daily objective media, friendly bill breakdowns, how to contact your politicians, where you can follow them on all social media and how to register to vote. In addition, users can track polls and are provided the opportunity to donate to any campaign of their choosing. This app exists to instill confidence in voters by educating them with factual, reliable, and easy-to-understand political information in a central location. The company’s goal is to change the perception of politics and reshape the way political information is sought out and consumed.
