Uber driver tells police he was shot at in Brookline
Pittsburgh police are investigating an Uber driver’s report that he was shot at Friday morning in the city’s Brookline neighborhood.
Police spokeswoman Alicia George said the driver reported the incident around 4:12 a.m. on East Carson Street in the South Side. The driver said he had picked up a woman in Brookline and drove her to Irwin before taking her to the South Side.
The driver, who was not identified, told police he heard gunshots as he picked up the woman in the 600 block of Brookline’s Perrilyn Street around 1:30 a.m. He said he saw three males run away from the area.
The driver took the passenger to Irwin, then drove to the 3200 block of East Carson Street on the South Side, where his tire went flat and he noticed a bullet hole.
