Orchids and Onions: Sunday, January 13, 2019

January 13, 2019

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Onions to all stores everywhere. Pay attention. We are tired of carrying preferred cards for every store, having to purchase a smart phone for digital coupons, have to buy 5 items when we only want one, and missing the 1, 3 or 4 day sale by one day. Just post a price and sell the item.

Orchids to Lori our checker at Bashas! She does a great job and is very friendly to talk with while checking out. T and M

Onions to the eleventh child. This is a travesty, not a celebration!

Orchids to our neighbors in the 4000 block of Blackhawk Dr. Twelve homes in that short block, are flying the US flag. It’s a beautiful sight! Thank you!

Onions to those complaining about the blue garbage and recycle cans on the street. If this bothers you so much, why not knock on the door and see if the person is physically able to roll them around – instead of complaining. My vehicle has a

handicap plate that might give you a clue.

Orchids to Fritz at Roadrunner Auto and Santone and staff at Bob’s Auto for their kindness to me. DB

Onions to the waitress referring to us as “Big Mama” and “Big Papa”. Yes, we’re both tall, but that doesn’t give you the right to poke fun. At our last place of residence my husband was nicknamed “Paul Bunyan” by co-workers. They called me “Babe.” We moved here hoping to escape the torment!

Orchids to Blondzees Steakhouse! It is such a fun atmosphere. Everyone is happy. I love that there are no more peanut shells on the floor. People with peanut allergies can now enjoy! Also, the menu salads are delicious. I haven’t missed the salad bar at all. Good luck with the continued changes.
