Lake Mills rolls to victory over Cambridge

December 13, 2018 GMT

LAKE MILLS — Taylor Roughen scored a game-high 18 points and Jade Pitta added 14 as the Lake Mills girls basketball team held visiting Cambridge to six second-half points en route to winning 60-25 in a nonconference game on Tuesday.

Lake Mills’ Vivian Guerrero notched 11 points and Julianna Wagner finished with nine.

The L-Cats played their most complete game of the season to date.

“We played our best all-around game,” Lake Mills head coach Brandon Siska said. “We only turned it over five times and once in the second half. We shared the basketball well.”

Lake Mills (6-2) led by 12 points at halftime despite failing to connect on some good looks they usually knock down.

Roughen has gotten into a shooting groove of late.

“Taylor has been shooting it real well the last few games and really coming into her own,” Siska said.

For Cambridge (2-5), Mayah Holzhueter scored 12 points.

Lake Mills hosts Johnson Creek on Friday.
