InterSystems Recognized as a Strong Performer in Translytical Data Platforms Evaluation by Independent Research Firm
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 23, 2019--
InterSystems, a global leader in information technology platforms for health, business, and government applications, today announced that Forrester has recognized the InterSystems IRIS Data Platform™ as a Strong Performer in The Forrester Wave™: Translytical Data Platforms, Q4 2019. Forrester evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of the top 14 translytical data platform vendors across 24 criteria, specifically looking at each company’s current offering, strategy, and market presence.
Forrester defines a translytical data platform as “a unified database that supports transactional, operational, analytical, and streaming workloads in real time, ensuring data consistency, transactional integrity, and analytical accuracy with extreme performance and scale achieved through modern memory architectures.”
InterSystems IRIS, the data engine behind the world’s most important applications, earned the highest scores possible in the report in the data security, data pipeline, data access, extensibility, performance, high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR), customer support, partners, customer adoption and evaluated product revenue criteria. Looking at data security in particular, Forrester states that “customers who have top data security requirements will find InterSystems to be among the best from a data security standpoint.”
According to Forrester, InterSystems IRIS “capably emerged from the requirements of some of the most demanding organizations including healthcare, high finance, and scientific use cases.” What’s more, the report also noted that “InterSystems’ crackerjack translytical solution turns new heads.”
Released in 2018, InterSystems IRIS is a complete, unified data platform that enables organizations to simplify and accelerate the development, deployment, and maintenance of mission-critical and highly reliable applications. Its first specialized edition, InterSystems IRIS for Health, empowers healthcare organizations to rapidly develop the healthcare applications that manage the world’s most critical data, combining analytical and transaction processing with native interoperability for all data types.
“The InterSystems IRIS Data Platform powers some of the most mission-critical applications on the planet, helping save lives, improve business operations and enhance customer experiences,” said Scott Gnau, vice president of data platforms at InterSystems. “We believe our recognition in the Forrester Wave reflects our strength in providing customers with an agile, scalable, and highly reliable data platform that enables them to innovate and expand their digital offerings.”
