Police disclose name of victim in Vernon crash

VERNON, Conn. (AP) — Police in Connecticut have released the identities of the drivers involved in a fatal crash involving a sedan and a box truck earlier this week.

Vernon police say a BMW and the truck collided on Route 30 on Monday morning.

The driver of the BMW, identified Tuesday as 22-year-old Marcellus Davis, was taken to Rockville General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the box truck, 61-year-old Victor Zetterstrom, of Rocky Hill, was transported to St. Francis Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.
