Virtu Financial: 3Q Earnings Snapshot
NEW YORK (AP) _ Virtu Financial Inc. (VIRT) on Tuesday reported a third-quarter loss of $4.3 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had a loss of 4 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 21 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 22 cents per share.
The high-speed trading company posted revenue of $385.4 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $249.8 million.
Virtu Financial shares have fallen 34% since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped 28% in the last 12 months.
