Get your cheap Cavs gear: Trades mean there’s suddenly a lot of stuff on sale

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- If you’re looking stock up on Cavaliers gear on the cheap, now’s the time to do it. But there’s a catch.

The team’s trades involving six players -- Isaiah Thomas, Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose, Iman Shumpert, Channing Frye and Jae Crowder -- mean their jerseys (most of them, anyway) are now on sale.

For example, jerseys featuring Thomas, Wade and Crowder are 40 percent off on the NBA Store’s website, selling for $41.99, down from $69.99. T-shirts that used to go for $31.99 can now be had for $19.99.

Curiously, Frye, Rose and Shumpert jerseys are still regular price.

Jerseys with the names and numbers of new Cavaliers Larry Nance Jr., Jordan Clarkson, Rodney Hood and George Hill are not yet available online.

Meanwhile in Miami, the Heat has been flooded with orders for Wade’s new “Miami Vice” city edition jersey. ESPN’s Darren Rovell reports the team has received orders from more than 100 countries since making them available at 5 p.m. Thursday. “Team merchandise sales are up 8000% from the previous two days,” Rovell tweeeted.
