Bartolotta to hold panel discussion on postpartum depression bill

State Sen. Camera Bartolotta, R-Carroll Township, will host a panel discussion Thursday in Washington to address questions regarding legislation she recently introduced to help mothers and infants affected by postpartum depression.
State Sen. Camera Bartolotta, R-Carroll Township, will host a panel discussion Thursday in Washington to address questions regarding legislation she recently introduced to help mothers and infants affected by postpartum depression.The panel discussion will be held from noon until 1:30 p.m. at the Wilfred R. Cameron Wellness Center, 240 Wellness Way, Washington.The discussion, which will be hosted by Bartolotta in conjunction with the #StrongMomStrongBaby coalition, will focus on Senate Bill 200. The legislation would add postpartum depression to the list of conditions that qualify for state assistance, including developmental assessments, follow-up services and early intervention services, if necessary.The event will include community leaders and medical providers whose area of expertise includes women’s health, perinatal care, psychiatry and family counseling.
